Selecting the right cable protector

Office and Warehouse Cable Protectors:

There are 4 different types of cable covers:

1. Extruded rubber cable protectors where the cables sit inside a rubber cord protector. These are great for permanent applications.
2. Dropover Cable Covers where the cable cover lays over the top of the cables.  These are great for permanent and temporary applications.
3. Carpet cable protectors where the cables are on a commercial grade carpet and the protector uses a Velcro system to adhere to the carpet over the cables.
4. Flexible Cable Protectors are made from polyurethane and are made of small segments allowing cables to curve around corners if needed.

All our cables have channel dimensions, so check that your cables will fit within the channel dimensions.  We have given you a guide as to how many power cables the protector will take as as easy guide.

Vehicular Cable Protectors:

There are a number of factors that you need to consider when deciding on the best cable and hose protector, including:

• Size of cables/hoses being protected.  Is the channel size large enough.
• Type of surface the protector is sitting on.  Eg Concrete or asphalt.  These products do not do well on unsealed surfaces.
• What type of vehicles are going over them and how frequently.
• Is it a permanent or temporary application.
